Location
Specially for tourists who travel by car, there’s a parking zone. You won’t be bored as at the hotel you will find a barbeque area. Here, you can treat yourself with water procedures as there will be a pool and an outdoor pool. At the guests’ disposal, there’s also dry cleaning.

Our daughter was completely taken with the friendly pigs, donkeys, and horses, and didn't want to go home. We stayed in Rose Cottage, which was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed. The farm itself is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with mountain views, a lovely pool, a covered BBQ spot, and a hammock that made it easy to unwind. Nadia was warm, attentive, and easy to communicate with. We only had two nights here while passing through, and wished we'd booked longer. The hot tub was a real treat, definitely worth booking. Next time we'll stay longer.

Rose cottage is right by the dam and central to everything on the farm, so I highly recommend it. The cottage was immaculate, and both the pool and dam were wonderfully refreshing. The hot pot was incredible too. The town is nearby, with shops and restaurants just around the corner. The farm animals were lovely and happily ate the carrots we gave them. Our dog had a great time with the dogs who live there. We had a fantastic weekend, 10/10 from us :)

We stayed in the Guinea Fowl cottage for 2 at Hermitage Huisies in Swellendam. It was peaceful and private, with lovely mountain views and all we needed for self-catering. We spent the evenings around the cozy fireplace. There are several quiet hiking options nearby, and the town is close too. The heated wood-fired hot tubs are available as well, and we'll definitely give them a try next time. A real gem for a getaway.

Nadia was easy to reach on WhatsApp and communicated really well. The cottages sit in a beautiful spot with lovely views, and they're very cozy. We only booked one night but really wished we could stay longer. Adding the hot tub was a great choice, I couldn't recommend it enough. Rose Cottage has no oven, but it does have everything else you'd need, including an air fryer, hob, and Braii. This ended up being our favourite stop of a three-week trip in SA. Highly recommend.

It feels like a peaceful farm getaway in the mountains, but Pick n Pay, coffee shops, and takeaway places are only about five minutes away. The place is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully laid out with everything well appointed. The host was lovely. We'll be back very soon.
