Our one-year-old loved the cats, pool, trampoline, and swing. They also supplied a baby cot and small pillow, which we really appreciated. Just remember to ask for them when booking. Since we were travelling again the next day, the hotel kindly kept our child's frozen food in their freezer, which helped a lot. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the hotel was charming, with lots of attention to detail. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Angie and the family who run the hotel were so polite and accommodating. The mountains look beautiful from here, and the location is ideal, near tourist spots, restaurants, and shops. The area felt safe and was easy to explore on foot. A comfortable, down-to-earth place in Swellendam. Thanks for a great stay! ❤️

The deep bath was lovely, the staff were super friendly, and the sweetest cat came to visit. Breakfast was great, and there's secure parking. Each room opens onto the garden, and the Cape Dutch architecture is beautiful. The linen was fresh and crisp, and the pillows were good. I would've liked milk and coffee in the room. The interior decor isn't really to my taste, as I prefer something that matches the architecture, though it was practical and functional. I'd swap the fake flowers for real ones.

We had a spacious room with a lovely little garden, and the pool was great. Check-in was easy, parking was private, and the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was great too.

I paid for a suite for three people, as shown on booking.com, and my booking was confirmed. When we arrived, they couldn't give us that room because they had overbooked. Then they charged extra for a mattress on the floor for my daughter, even though we'd booked for three. We got a cheaper room at the suite price and then had to pay for the mattress. In essence, I feel they stole from us. After an insulting email from the Dutch owner, I'm changing my review to one star. With that attitude, I don't think they'll survive in this business. The breakfast also fell short. I've had better at places in South Africa with no star rating. I had initially rated everything except the service at three and two stars. Don't worry about us booking again, it won't happen in your wildest dreams. Shame.
