Morgansvlei Country Estate

We spent the weekend here for a wedding and had an awesome time. The views from our self-catering unit were great, and the venue had all the facilities we needed, including bridal and groom rooms, plus one of the loveliest honeymoon suites I’ve seen. The fully equipped braai room made Friday evening with family and friends really enjoyable. Staff and the owner were always available, and the kids went fishing in the dam in front of the venue. It was a very memorable weekend.

Our guests are still talking about the food, and the sunset made the venue look stunning. The team were really friendly and accommodating too. We had our dream wedding at Morgansvlei, and it went beyond what we expected. For a beautiful venue with great service and a low-stress day, Morgansvlei is a lovely choice.

We spent the whole weekend at Morgansvlei for our November 2025 wedding, and booking it was the best decision. The rooms were amazing, especially the bridal and groom suite, and we hired the braai room on Friday for the family. The manager and owner communicated well from the start and helped with planning, the wedding day itself, and the cleanup afterwards. We liked that it felt like a family-run place, rather than somewhere looking to charge extra for everything. I can’t think of a single bad thing to say. I’d recommend Morgansvlei to anyone planning a wedding.

The chapel and wedding hall were clean, and we enjoyed the wedding. Still, I left disappointed by the rest of the place. The views are beautiful and there’s a lot of potential, but our rooms were dirty, with cobwebs from the floor to the bed, and the shower and floors needed cleaning. No one was in the office when we arrived, and there was nobody around to help. The kitchen and braai room where we had our Friday BBQ were filthy too. I had to wipe dust and spiders off the counters, and the warmers were covered in it.
