Sherwoods Country House Cc

The twin room was spacious, but its bathroom had no door or curtain, so there was no privacy. WiFi worked from the house, while cellphone reception was little to none. Apart from a few potholes, the mountain and plantation roads made for a comfortable drive to and from Sherwood. The gardens are large, with spectacular scenery, and breakfast was a wholesome English one included in the package. I was particularly impressed by the COVID19 precautions around the buffet. Everything felt neat and clean, from the crisp linen to the country home atmosphere, and the amenities, facilities, and hospitality lived up to Sherwood's four-star rating.

Power went off at 21:00 on 5 December 2022 and was still out when I left at 08:00 on 6 December. They have a generator, but the owners only switched it on at 06:30, for whatever reason. Nearly 11 hours without power meant no hot water for a shower, and my phone battery ran down because I couldn't charge it. I will seek a refund through legal action, won't stay there again, and will name and shame the place on other social media.

A quiet, pleasant place, kept very clean. The staff were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. I loved it and would visit again.

I've stayed here many times over the years, and it's always been a really pleasant experience. The hosts are extremely pleasant, and the food is good.
