I booked through Booking.com and cancelled well before the date, so I was eligible for a full refund. It’s been two months and I’ve had to keep chasing them. Now they want my credit card details, including the CVV. The owner was rude and flatly refused to refund me by EFT, even though I’m not willing to share that sensitive card information with them. I’m opening a fraud case with SAPS and have also reported it to FNB. They’re fraudsters. Stay away.

Fantastic place, delicious breakfast, and the hospitality was top-notch. The beach is a very short distance away, easily within walking distance.

I cancelled more than 30 days ahead because my plans changed, which qualified me for a full deposit refund. Even after I confirmed my identity and sent proof of payment, the establishment refused to pay it back. They asked me to send my card number, expiry date and CVV over WhatsApp to process the refund. With online scams and fraud becoming more common, it’s deeply concerning and unacceptable to request those details on an unsecured platform that multiple staff can access. This raises serious concerns about their professionalism and practices.

Service was superb, and the price felt like good value. Breakfast choices were good too, and the pork-free swap was thoughtful and much appreciated. It’s a quiet place in a no-noise neighbourhood. There’s a small glimpse of the beach, but it’s far away, definitely not walkable, lol. The TV was good, with DStv channels, though it wasn’t a smart TV. An iron was available on request and easy to use. One thing to watch for in Room 11: the toilet is awkwardly positioned in the bathroom, especially for ladies who always use it seated. Besides that, it’s a great place.

The staff were friendly and it was a good experience staying there. Breakfast was tasty, though I had expected a buffet.
