The pool area is nice, but the block needs more care and maintenance. The security boom gate at the Central Park entrance has been out of order for almost 2 months. The gym is missing equipment and doesn’t feel inviting. Sometimes it stays locked for weeks, even though we pay for that amenity.

The complex itself was great. This is about our second stay, at number 35: it was dirty, the shower door was missing, and the bathroom mats were filthy, old, and stuck to the floor. No air-conditioning in the bedroom???

My friend booked UNIT 67 for her birthday, and we were so disappointed. We’d requested a 14:00 check-in, but when we arrived at 17:00 we were told cleaning was still underway and to wait 15 minutes. We did, then found dust everywhere, including all over the coffee table and TV stand, like the place hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The kitchen knives were dirty and there were only three wine glasses. The second room had no bath towels. When we asked, we were told they didn’t have any because they wash towels as guests leave and put them back again. We had to shower in flip flops because the shower was dirty, and one bathroom was missing the shower’s glass door.

They charge R1400 per night and still advertise D004 (apartment 23) as a “Stunning apartment,” but it was filthy. With the current COVID situation, how can they fail to keep the place clean?

The atmosphere is good and the pool is great. It’s a new place and still a work in progress, with security not up and running yet. The furnishings feel a bit cheap.
