A really awful experience. You have to check yourself in without the host, who then sends a pile of instructions. It's self-catering, but the stove doesn't work, and you constantly have to switch the geyser on and off. I had to make arrangements to get the keys so I could check in. Then, when it came to processing my refundable R1000, she ignored me. She's very mean.

The entrance is on Umhlanga Ridge Blvd; the photo below shows where it is. This is a self-catering unit on the grounds of Urban hotel, but the owner isn't there in person. You have to pay in full before entering or before she sends the key, without meeting her or seeing the unit first. There's also a deposit on top of the accommodation fee. The terms and conditions are very hard to understand, so unless you're desperate, I'd strongly suggest asking for them first.

The room was tiny, right next to the car park entrance, and the passing cars kept us awake all night. It's been two months since checkout and I still haven't got my deposit back. They don't answer my emails or calls, and I still can't get my money.

Great, quiet, and very neat.
