We enjoyed four nights at The Villa Umhlanga. It’s well located near everything, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast mix-up on our last morning was a shame: we were given another room’s order and only got a small omelette. We’d started eating in case the toast, bacon, and sausage were still coming, but they didn’t. The staff apologized and offered to bring our correct order, but we had to leave for the airport. Also, with the kitchen and dining area open plan, the breakfast staff can be quite loud chatting while you’re trying to relax and eat. Even so, we had a great stay and would return.

The Villa is only a two-minute walk from the beach and the city, and we had a lovely four-day stay. The service was impeccable, and the staff went out of their way to make my brother, who uses a wheelchair, feel comfortable. Thank you so much. We’ll definitely return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious, with fruit salad, cereals, and hot food to choose from. The location felt safe and was an easy walk to the beach and Oceans Mall. There’s a pool for a quick dip and some lovely shared spaces. Our room was neat and clean, with a private shower, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. It also had its own door to the outside, though we had to keep it shut because of the monkeys in the area.

Very disappointing. The room had no view, and there was just one plug behind the bed with no adaptor. There wasn’t any soap in the bathroom either, and the DSTV selection was very limited.
