uShaka Manor Guest House

The short woman was welcoming, but the others weren’t after the shift changed. The tall woman who cooked was unfriendly and didn’t follow up. Breakfast was standard, the fruit was overripe, and the stale muffins and bread weren’t replaced during our stay. At 10:15, the tall woman told us to leave because it was past 10. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, and Netflix never worked. We needed to iron one dress, but she wouldn’t lend us an iron and asked us to pay.

The location of the Guest House made it easy to get around. We could safely Uber or walk to stores, malls, restaurants, and the beach, and Gateway was about 10-15 minutes away. The staff were the best, really helpful and understanding. Breakfast was so good that after eating it, you might only want lunch or even dinner. We had the cheapest room, so I guess that’s why there was no microwave or iron, but it wasn’t a big deal. I enjoyed my stay.

I stayed four days and can see this becoming my regular place. I booked at the conference place with a sea view, and the rooms are big. The only reason I’m giving four stars is that breakfast felt too rigid and boring.

We were moved to another room the next morning, and the staff couldn’t have done more to help. The rest of our stay was amazing, so I’m happy to recommend this BnB/Guest house. Before that, though, the other residents were excessively noisy and ignored our requests to quiet down. We couldn’t get a decent night’s rest, and I was desperate to check out.
