The location at Mthatha Garden Court was central and convenient. I found the room spotless, immaculate, and well cared for, so it was easy to relax. Breakfast was satisfying, with enough variety to start the day well. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable my stay was.

The food was amazing, and the staff were lovely. I came with kids and found the stay easy. We loved the clean rooms and their modern, beautiful design. Loved everything about this hotel.

Everything else about the stay was great. The aircon occasionally sounded like a motorbike, but it was intermittent, so it didn’t bother me much.

The dining area made a good first impression, with tidy surroundings and spacious, comfortable seating, depending on your body size. The rooms were well kept and the situated A/C kept them warm in the cold and cool in summer. I didn’t expect much, but Garden Court Mthatha surprised me with a really solid experience in the culturally vibrant Eastern Cape.

6/10
The accommodation offered good quality and value, and the location is great. But staff attitude took away from the experience. I had disappointing service from reception through housekeeping, particularly from the female staff members. Their manner made me feel there was some classism, and I felt uncomfortable. I became hesitant to ask for help or even request room service. I hope management addresses this so the service matches the quality of the facilities.
