Sani Window B&B and Self catering

We stayed in the Owl Room for a few nights over Easter weekend. The view from the main window was beautiful, and the room was neat, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Even with the place completely booked, the service was stellar and the staff were so friendly. Thank you, Sani Window crew x

The Treehouse self-catering unit was tidy and well equipped, with a lovely view over the neighbouring country club and surrounding mountains. It's close to the shops and tourist attractions, and made a perfect peaceful getaway in the Drakensberg.

The breakfast was good, and the dining area was pleasant with a view. The ladies serving breakfast were very friendly. But the rooms, noise, and security were a real problem during our two-night stay at Sani Window Bed &Breakfast, where we were two couples and the place was fully booked. One room had a terrible smell from its carpet. It looked as if no one had cleaned behind the bed for a long time, and spiders were nesting there with cobwebs everywhere. In the other room, there were dirty marks all over the wall above the bed, and the inside bathroom door handle was missing. Both nights, the neighbours drank and were extremely loud until the early hours. We couldn't reach anyone at any of the numbers we tried. The next morning I spoke with the manager, who said to call the police if it happened again that evening. He also said he'd ask them to consider the other guests, but the same thing happened that night and continued just as late as before. The gates were never closed because none of our remotes worked. We shut the gate by hand because we were worried about our vehicle, but anyone could still open it because it couldn't be locked.

The garden was beautiful, and the breakfast room was delightful. Staying in the treehouse was an added bonus, and I absolutely loved my visit. I only wish I could have stayed longer than one night. You can walk to restaurants, and the location is just right for a Sani Pass tour, as the name suggests.
