Izintaba Private Game Reserve

We had a great long weekend at Giraffe cottage. It was clean and well equipped for five adults, and it was a privilege to bring our dog along. We did our own game drives and saw more animals than expected. We also walked the trails, swam in the sparkling clean pool, visited sunset rock and the dam, where most of the animals were out on the open plain. One couple took the canoe around the dam. At the Boma, we connected a laptop to the TV and watched the Boks play the Pumas. The other guests were excited since they’d been watching on a phone, and it made for a great game and a great vibe. The cleaners were around, friendly and ready to help, but we didn’t use the service since we’d already run the dishwasher and made our beds, so I can’t really comment on that. I highly recommend this place for an affordable bush break.

Dear Nikki and Andrew, Thank you for the gorgeous lodge. The venue, location, and hospitality made Freddie's birthday extra special, and we enjoyed every minute at Izintaba Private Game Reserve. We had a great December break at Izintaba and were very happy with the size of the private area at Zebra lodge. The Lapa and private braai and fire pit area were great too. Having friendly cleaning staff come daily was a nice bonus. It’s a wonderful place to visit if you want to switch off, feel refreshed, and experience wildlife.

Giraffe Cottage was a lovely, spacious and comfortable place to welcome in the New Year. The huge veranda is perfect for sitting, enjoying the bush, and watching impala stroll past. We explored the reserve on foot with the children and dogs, spotting tracks and watching animals. Sundowners at the picnic spot by the dam were another highlight. Thanks to Nikki and her team at Izintaba for a wonderful holiday. We highly recommend it and hope to come back soon.
