River Tides Guest House

We loved every moment of our one night here. It was quiet and peaceful, and everything was perfect. The owners are very friendly and spontaneous. We’ll definitely go again.

We spent five spectacular nights at Rivertides, with stunning views over the river and jetty's. Mike was an incredible host, always willing to help, whether our questions were big or small, and he went the extra mile every time. There are free kayaks, comfortable deck chairs for relaxing with a book and enjoying the view, and braai facilities. When the weather kept us indoors, the kitchen had what we needed to make a meal if we didn’t feel like going out for dinner. A magnificent spot with a fantastic host.

My friend and I had two wonderful nights at Rivertides. The glorious views and all the birds on the jetty were incredible. We loved having sundowners as hundreds of cormorants flew home to roost, and watching them head back out to sea in the morning was the best start to our day. Mike was a consummate host, warm and welcoming, and took care of our needs before we even asked. Thank you, Mike. We’ll certainly be back, and will bring friends to experience beautiful Velddrif, the birds and your kindness.
