That sunset view from the balcony, sitting back in the deck chairs, was a lovely part of our stay. We spent 19 days at Kingfisher 1 in Velddrif in December 2021, and it was the best holiday we’d had in ages. The place was modern, very nice and comfortable, and Marlene and Ben were such friendly hosts. They really went out of their way to make things work for us. I’d comfortably recommend the unit for four adults. Thanks again for making our holiday such a success.

We had a fantastic two-day business stay at 47 Waterkant, kingfisher. The black, white and gold space was beautiful, well equipped and welcoming, with a simple but stylish design. I couldn’t stop noticing the feel of the Egyptian linen. Booking, check-in and the stay all went smoothly, and Marlene answered my questions promptly. We were greeted on arrival with a big smile and little chocolates, and left with that warm welcome in our memories. Thanks again, Marlene. We’ll definitely come back, this time with my little family.

Marlene was a wonderful host, and The Greenery, one of two cottages on her property, is a real little gem. It’s modern, clean and private, with a fantastic braai area. You can walk to Bokkomlaan and the Bergrivier in just a short time. It’s ideally located.

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you, Marlene. Unit A was stylish and spotless, with lots of thoughtful personal touches. It also came fully furnished and well equipped.

The bird sounds in the morning and how close the dorpie is made this feel like such a restful getaway. We’d go back, and would recommend this cosy place in Veldrif to anyone needing a proper rest. Marlene was an amazing person to meet, and we already miss the place. Thanks, Marlene, we’ll see you again soon. We needed time away from work, everyday life and the kids, and this was just right. We only had to bring food, clothes and toiletries. We were basically on Bokkom Laan, went fishing, and stayed inside when it rained. There was already everything we needed, including a fire to sit by and enjoy. The walk-in shower was an amazing experience, with water jets reaching every part of your body. The bedding was so cosy, and on our cold last night the electric blanket warmed the bed while we watched TV.
