The biggest problem was how the rooms were handled. We had booked the whole guesthouse for a 10-day event, but on the third night we came back to find our rooms open and being used by people who had come for the day to swim and braai. They were also moving through the rooms and taking up all the parking. The owner took no responsibility for it. Even before that, the stay was poor. We asked for twin rooms, but none were ready, so we had to wait a night for them to be arranged. The rooms, towels and fridges were dirty, some fridges had mold, and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned. Don't book here.

The place itself is nice, but breakfast was tasteless and came without salt for me to add. I was served by someone wearing pajamas, which made me question the hygiene. There weren't enough towels, and the bathroom lights didn't work. It would also help to have shower gel or something similar for guests who arrive unprepared. I hadn't planned to go out that evening after checking in.

The host and staff were just amazing. Clean rooms, food that tasted great, and a lovely garden and pool. Definitely coming back!

The staff were unfriendly, the accommodation was poor, and the food isn't worth mentioning. This guest house is badly run and definitely not worth R800 a night. Avoid it.
