Lifestyle Lodge Hotel

It’s been almost 4 months of chasing them about a refund. Every time, it’s another story, like being told Oga went overseas. I wouldn’t recommend this place for business. I don’t know why it’s so hard to return the money.

We spent a weekend away here and had a really amazing time. The customer service was great.

We booked 5 rooms with breakfast, which we were promised at 8:30am. The rooms looked beautiful, but weren’t clean. In two rooms, sheets from the previous guests had only been pulled over without being changed. They hadn’t straightened the sheet under the duvet, so you could see someone had slept there. The sheets on another bed smelled of someone else. The duvets weren’t warm enough for a cold weekend, and one room had no tissue. Each room had just one old towel for both showering and drying hands after using the bathroom. The noise at night was unbearable, like a shebeen, and the mess from the previous night was still there in the morning. Breakfast never appeared. When we asked for a refund for the missing breakfast, the owner was rude and called us fly by night, even though we’d paid upfront with a R600 credit. He refused to take responsibility for not providing breakfast at the promised time. We left without breakfast, and the refund still hasn’t been paid. It was disappointing, and I’d never recommend this place.

I stayed in room 19 this past weekend. The place is nice, but it needs improvement. I wasn’t happy with the open shower, since water went everywhere, leaving a wet floor and a risk of slipping and falling.
