We stayed in pretty pig, a lovely, spacious unit with an exceptional view. The farm setting was so quiet and peaceful, away from the buzz of town, while still close enough to pop in for a drink or dinner.

We only had one night at this beautiful farm lodge, but waking up to the sunrise and landscape was magical. The rooms were spacious and clean, the place was full of books, and the bathtub was great. There’s no TV or wifi, so it’s a good spot to switch off from city life and technology. The gravel road to the farm wasn’t in the best shape, though we managed it in a low car.

The rooms are kept to a high standard and cleaned daily. The guest farm also has stunning views, a peaceful setting and complete privacy. Highly recommended.

Ronelle and Johan were the kindest hosts. We stayed in the PRETTY PIG cottage overlooking a dam, and the winter landscape had a charm of its own. The sunrise over the mountain was exquisite, and the wood burner kept the whole cottage warm. Our little dachshund enjoyed having the border collie for company too. We’re looking forward to coming back. I highly recommend FORELLENHOF.

We’ve tried a few places in Wakkerstroom over the years, but this is where we’ll stay from now on. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. We had a good stay.
