Parking was a nightmare, with strangers knocking on my door to ask me to move my car. As a young woman, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. The noise just outside my room was unbearable. I asked the group of men to quiet down, then realized the lodge receptionist and manager were among the people making the noise. The bathroom was so small that two people couldn’t fit in it together. This was a terrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend the place. I’m quite shocked because the other reviews seemed great.

They do try to cater to your needs, but, iyoh, the police guys staying here have no regard for the other guests. Every morning between 3 and 7 am, they leave their vans idling for over 30 minutes and talk loudly as if it’s broad daylight. My sleep is disrupted every day. I’ve already booked two weeks and am thinking of cancelling the rest 😭 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

The guest house is in a secure property, and there’s Wi-Fi, though you have to ask for the password. Tea and coffee are provided in the room, along with a mini fridge and microwave. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and nicely made up. Of the four rooms we booked, ours had the biggest TV, but it didn’t have DSTV or connect to anything. Breakfast costs extra and has to be requested. We only got one remote for two vehicles, so we had to leave and arrive at the same time. Still, it was a very pleasant, relaxing place to stay.

The room I’d reserved was already booked out, so this was called an UPGRADE. At R800 a night, the room still wasn’t very clean. The toilet had no lid and a broken seat, there was only one towel for two adults, and there were no bedside lamps.
