Villa Sol

It felt like a little paradise when I stayed here last night. My room was peaceful, roomy, and had everything I needed. The host had some thoughtful surprises ready, including a free bottle of wine and snacks for my road trip. I really appreciated the kind gesture. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Wilderness, and I’ll come back next time I’m traveling along the Garden Route.

The communal deck looking out over the river was so calm and peaceful, and Manie was incredibly kind. He even lent us body boards for our beach day. We spent three nights here during our three week honeymoon, and it was honestly one of the trip’s highlights. What a beautiful place, our room was stunning. We’d love to return someday.

This may be the nicest place I’ve stayed. The rooms are roomy, gorgeous, and cosy, with all the amenities you could need: kitchenette with dishes, fridge, coffee maker, milk frother, kettle, microwave, and even an air fryer. Fresh flowers were a lovely extra touch, and I appreciated having USB charging ports in the wall while traveling. There are lots of beautiful shared spaces to lounge in, pools to sit by, and a shared braai area. Two cute resident cats sometimes come by to say hi. The beach access and a restaurant are right across the street, and the main Wilderness restaurants are a short walk or drive away. The staff were so welcoming and kind. I wish we’d stayed longer.

The room looked out over Wilderness beach, and the view was stunning. Manie & the Sol Team were so welcoming, even surprising us with a small gift for our trip. The house feels one of a kind, with everything prepared so thoughtfully, and the service was fantastic. 12/10!
