Cumberland Hotel Worcester

The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere makes a visit memorable. Cumberland Hotel has been a great experience whether I’ve come for a meal, a conference, or an overnight stay. The service is excellent, and I’d recommend it for business or leisure.

The place is beautiful, with a gym and jacuzzi. But hospitality was lacking: my used towels weren’t replaced, and I had to shower in cold water because there was no hot water.

I had an enjoyable stay with a bit of small-town charm. Cumberland hotel is centrally located near the railway. The building is old, but the staff are doing their best to keep the service at a high level.

The staff were friendly and very good, and the mountain view from my second room was amazing. That room looked neat at first, but the torn lampshades, broken lights, and dirty bath and shower made it feel like a dungeon. Getting there was a long trek, and there are no lifts. A chimney filled the room with smoke even with the windows closed, which was really bad. My first room had been generously spacious, and I understood why I needed to move. Parking is quite a walk away, though you can count the steps as a plus. After seeing both kinds of rooms, I don’t think the price is worth it for the second one. If you’re looking for a room, I’d book the more spacious family room. I’d have second thoughts about staying here again.
