Bushbaby River Lodge

We couldn't have picked a better place to get engaged. The staff set up a lovely romantic scene with roses, balloons and candles, which made the occasion perfect. Bushbaby River Lodge is beautiful and intimate, surrounded by nature and wildlife. We spent time on safari, spotting animals from the porch and relaxing by the pool. The lodge was clean, the service was great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful with arranging nearby activities. We had the best time here.

A comfortable, restful place to stop before or after Kruger Park. The luxury bush lodge is lovingly set up, with spacious, well-equipped rooms and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, and the service attentive. I'd highly recommend it.

We only had one night here and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and luxurious, the bed super comfortable, and the towels were fresh and smelled lovely. The large bathroom had a bathtub I loved, as well as an outdoor shower. Even the bathrobes were very clean, though we didn't use them. After our long drive in the heat, the welcome drinks and cold face towels were much appreciated. The fan above the bed and its surrounding netting made a real difference to our sleep. Breakfast was included, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area again and would recommend it.

We were the only guests at the whole lodge when we visited at the start of December, and Donald gave us such a warm welcome. The place is decorated with lots of care, and it felt like home. Our room was lovely, with an outdoor shower, and breakfast was very pleasant. The best bread we had in South Africa!
