We spent a wonderful girls’ weekend at 16 Mile View in Yzerfontein. The place was spotless and comfortable, with a lovely cosy feel, and the hostess was quick to help whenever we needed her. Step down a few steps and you’re on the beach, which goes on as far as you can see. I can’t say whether it really stretches for 16 miles, but it’s great for long walks and a refreshing swim. Beautiful views too. We’ll definitely be back.

A lovely place to escape the city, with really beautiful views. The unit was neat and had most of the utilities you’d need. In the evenings, the enclosed patio and fireplace make it especially cosy.

The kitchen had plenty in it and the place was clean, plus the view is spectacular. The second bedroom is tiny and not really suitable for adults, and using the indoor fire tends to leave everything smelling smoky. Self check-in was easy.

We had a great weekend here. The owners were very welcoming, and the little self-catering apartments are an easy walk from the main beach, shops and other amenities. A lovely spot to relax and unwind.

The indoor braai is handy when the wind picks up, and the views are stunning. It’s a real gem, perfectly situated, with everything you need and then some for a proper break. I’d recommend it to anyone.
