The rooms were tidy and the location worked well. But our room was cleaned while we were out without anyone asking us first, which I wasn't happy about. As a Muslim guest, I'd also suggest adding a toilet sprayer, plus a basket, tumbler and stool in the bathroom. Older people may not be able to bathe standing up.

The rooms are where this lodge does best: they were neat and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. It’s only about five minutes from the CBD and on the way to Victoria Falls. At night, elephants came by to eat the mangoes, which was quite something. The breakfast was below standard, though, and the pool was dirty, slippery, and being used by people who weren’t staying there. When we asked for the generator to be turned on before the set time, staff wouldn’t do it. I suppose they were following their instructions. Otherwise, the place was just okay.

The room was spacious and had Wi-Fi, and Victoria Falls is at most a ten-minute drive away. We arrived around 22:30 to find nearly the whole place empty, but the receptionist was reluctant to give us a room and had trouble getting hold of the manager. We eventually got one after insisting. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave early for the falls and couldn't eat. At checkout, the receptionist said the card machine wasn't working, despite a sign saying cards were accepted. We checked and the machine did work. The stay itself was fine, but we had to keep pushing for small things.

The restaurant served excellent Indian food, and the staff were very helpful. Clean, good-value accommodation too.
