Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara

The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel looked after throughout. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a nice blend of classic character and modern luxury. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with lush greenery and mist from Victoria Falls visible from the hotel. We couldn’t hear the falls from our room, but seeing that mist was breathtaking in its own way. There’s also a handy walking path with access to a view of part of the Victoria Falls Bridge. A peaceful, luxurious stay, and one I’d recommend to anyone visiting Victoria Falls.

We loved seeing zebras and giraffes wandering freely around the grounds. Victoria Falls is an easy 10-15 minute walk away, which made getting out to explore simple. Our room was clean, spacious, and well cared for, and the staff were consistently warm, polite, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had an exceptional stay at the Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls in Zambia and would happily recommend it to visitors.

We spent three nights at the Royal Livingstone by Anantara, and the wildlife around our river-facing suite became part of the stay: impalas, monkeys, mongooses, zebras, and even giraffes wandered past. It felt quiet and elegant, with lots of little moments that stay with you. One morning we had breakfast privately on the jetty, watching mist and rainbows rise from Victoria Falls. We also had a couple’s massage, a lovely way to relax. The team arranged some memorable outings, including a microlight flight over the falls, a sunset cruise, and a romantic dinner aboard the Royal Livingstone Express train. Hotel guests can also enter Victoria Falls from the Zambia side for free, which was a nice bonus. Dinner under the Monkey Tree felt magical, and the sunset over the river at Kubu was breathtaking. The service, staff, design, and atmosphere all felt flawless. Luxury and nature fit together beautifully here, and we left with memories we’ll treasure.

The wildlife on the grounds is a special part of the stay: we saw zebras, impala, giraffes, and even hippos right there. The decor and lovely views add to the hotel's magical feel, making it a great setting for a getaway. From arrival, the Royal Livingstone felt like a five-star experience that exceeded what I expected. A memorable holiday destination.
