InterContinental Lusaka by IHG

We arrived after midnight to find the printer at the check-in desk wasn't working, so we were left waiting for a long time. There isn't a bar open at night, and two of our rooms had no minibar, which was unpleasant. The next day, four rooms' worth of guests were taken to the airport in one very slow minivan with faulty AC. I didn't like it.

The food is one of the things I've enjoyed here. On my last visit, I had warm mashed potatoes, rice, fried Tilipia, beef stew, and couscous salad, followed by assorted cakes. Mavla Pudding was my favorite. I've also found the reception inviting, the conference room well equipped, and the public restrooms kept to international standards. The hotel is in the busy Long acres area and is known to both local and international tourists. It offers friendly staff, excellent service, and international cuisine, including Zambia's Nshima. I've had the pleasure of experiencing some of its services over time, and whenever I get the chance to visit, it feels like home. If you're travelling through Lusaka, holding an event, or just looking for a meal, consider Lusaka Hotel Intercontinental.

It's in a quite secure neighbourhood, and the internet is fast. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with all the gadgets working well. Staff are courteous and helpful.

The rooms are VERY well appointed, and it's conveniently placed in the embassy district, a short drive from the airport. Everyone I've met so far, from the curbside greeter and bell hop to the front desk team, restaurant servers, and other staff, has provided service and quality that rival most of the places I've stayed worldwide at this price point.
