Lilayi Lodge

The wildlife was one of my favorite parts of Lilayi Lodge. From the veranda of my accommodation, I could watch nature pass by, including giraffes, zebras, impalas, and warthogs roaming freely. I was there on my own, and the accommodation was so huge I wasn't sure what to do with all that space. It could easily fit a small family. The lodge is peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful, just outside Lusaka but still easy to reach. There are game drives and long, refreshing walks around the property. Staff from reception to housekeeping were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food was consistently amazing. It's a special mix of comfort, nature, and great hospitality. Thanks to the team for looking after me.

The food is top quality, the rooms are nice, and the location is good. It can get noisy on weekends because of villagers at a nearby pub. The rooms could use air conditioning.

A reservation mix-up got things off to a bad start. The meat was tough and poorly marinated, so I sent it back. When we asked for takeout, they mixed up our separate meals. The manager's solution was to pack what looked like kitchen scraps. It felt unfair, like we'd been cheated. Terrible experience.

We enjoyed a late Sunday afternoon lunch outside beside the lovely large blue pool. The setting is beautiful, and the fresh local Zambian food had plenty of flair. It was nice to take Zambian family friends there.
