The Habesha food was the highlight for me, tasty and well prepared, with generous portions, and it felt authentic. Melsim Lodge in Lusaka also has a comfortable, welcoming feel and a very nice atmosphere. A relaxing place to stay with excellent food.

The rooms are spacious, and it feels like a nice, homy place. I love the food. If you tell the kitchen and negotiate an upgrade to your service, they’re flexible about making breakfast Ethiopian traditional, Zambian, or Sudanese style.

I enjoyed staying at the lodge. The restaurant serves international, local, and traditional Ethiopian food, including Enjera and different types of Wet. There’s a swimming pool, nice parking, and a good-looking garden mixed compound. It’s near central Lusaka, and the waiters had good manners. It was also so clean.

It’s okay, not a bad place, but they could improve it. The breakfast is always the same and pretty meh, with nothing interesting or creative to switch things up. The linen is really old too. The duvets, sheets, and pillowcases all need replacing.

My room was comfortable and clean, and it was a good stay. Breakfast was okay, though not great. With Zambia dealing with terrible power cuts, it was good that the hotel had backup, but it was off in the morning. I couldn't charge my phone or laptop.
