Golden Pillow Lodge

I usually come here for food, and the service is really good. The prices are fair, and the place is always clean with nice-looking rooms. My t-bone was extremely dry, though, and the chicken was too. The lounge needs freshening up, since some sofa stains are easy to see, and the doors could use a coat of paint. Still a nice place.

It's okay if you don't have another option. The rooms have the basics, including hot water and free WiFi, but they need a much deeper clean. The sheets looked clean, yet dust was everywhere. Even the shower ran brown because dirt had built up inside the pipes.

The food was good and the customer care was friendly, but meals take a while, so order well ahead. Finding the lodge can be a hassle because there's no sign, and Google Maps may leave you about 6m away. The showers could use better ventilation and servicing. Cable is available, though in my room only one channel seemed to work. It's a fair lodge overall.

The fish was good, but the room was a mess. The sheets had stains, the floors were dirty, and the AC didn't work. There was no drinking water or cups, even though a kettle was there, and the shower was cold. We got in late with no other booking, so we had to stay.
