Being right on the river Zambezi gives this place a peaceful, special setting, while still keeping it convenient for Victoria Falls. The property feels spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a relaxed but refined atmosphere. My room was modern, spotless, and well laid out, with a very comfortable bed and high-end finishes. The staff were attentive and warm without hovering, whether at reception, the restaurant, or poolside. They consistently made things feel seamless. The meals and drinks were excellent, with generous breakfasts and well-prepared food to international standards. For a luxurious, quiet base, Radisson is an outstanding option. It’s the best hotel around Vic Falls and one of the best I've visited globally.
We made good use of the pool and pool bar, and really liked the breakfast. The rooms were nice, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. Being so near the park gave us a chance to see elephants, though that depends on the season. The Angel’s Pool and Devil’s Pool tours are also very close. There’s a gym and a play area for kids too.
The stay was overshadowed by two missing room reservations and a room price that didn't match what I'd originally seen in the mobile app. Check-in took more than 30 minutes, and discussions with the front desk and guest relations carried into the second day. I paid the booking price, but in the last hour of my stay on 16 May 2026, the app showed a higher amount. I found the reservation and guest relations teams, as well as the front desk, weak in several ways: poor troubleshooting, little goodwill or empathy, unclear ownership, and weak communication from the team lead. It took close to 22 hours to get a response to my initial email to the team lead on 14 May. The team seemed too relaxed about a legitimate concern over being overcharged or double-counted because of the reservation mess. Even after they had chances to put things right, their damage control felt flippant and appalling, and badly damaged the brand. A few team members stood out among the others. Royd was delightful, pleasant, respectful, welcoming, kind, cheerful, and caring. Fredy and Linda were also among the bright spots. Rodgers was the strongest at the front desk, serious about limiting further damage, responsive to last-minute requests, and confident about what needed doing. Agnes and Inonge were good too. Polite's team was the strongest in the hotel, well mannered, attentive, and accommodating. Polite himself was the loveliest, with excellent manners and service. Those people couldn't salvage the stay from the mismanaged reservation and weak front desk and guest relations teams. Upper management should be grateful to those bright spots and reward them properly. This was easily my worst Radisson experience, and the weakest link.
The staff were all really sweet, and the hotel itself is a gorgeous, modern new place. The rooms look lovely, though I wish they'd been larger. The food was lacking, and they need new chefs.
The hotel is gorgeous and new, with clean rooms, strong AC, a decent gym, and friendly staff. Still, service was slow and unreliable, and most staff seemed unsure about basic questions. Dinner often took more than 90 minutes from sitting down to getting the food. Keep the prices in mind when booking. Food and drinks cost ABSURD amounts, far more than at neighboring, more luxurious hotels. Cocktails were $16 and cheeseburgers $28.
