The rates were affordable, and a simple breakfast was included. My room was fresh, clean, and tidy, which made it a nice place to stay while I was in transit.

The staff really made the stay. Everyone, from reception and the kitchen to the cleaning ladies, was friendly. Special thanks to Grace and the young man at reception, whose name I didn't catch. They were kind, patient, and always cheerful. We stayed four nights in a 200 kwacha room with breakfast included. It was clean and pleasant, with plenty of space in the bathroom, plus a TV and refrigerator. We had a lovely stay.

The place still has the basics, including a TV, hot water, and a fairly comfortable bed, and it’s affordable. But it used to be a good lodge, and its best days seem to be behind it. The infrastructure isn’t very modern.

The continental breakfast was disappointing, just two pieces of bread and an egg. Still, I had a great time at the lodge. The rooms were neat, and the hot water was good.

No Wi-Fi, and there’s no DSTV. When the generator is running, you’re not allowed to use appliances, either. The place doesn’t look like the pictures. And at 7:00 in the morning, are you still expected to go looking for bread for breakfast?
