The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place itself was very clean. I liked the peaceful surroundings just outside the city, with easy access into town and within good range of top reserves and heritage sites, including the Cecil John Rhodes Sanctuary, Matopos, and Tshabalala game reserve.

The peaceful setting is a real plus, even though it's a little out of the way from town. Rooms are good for a reasonable price, with TV and WiFi. Breakfast and supper are available as optional meals, made to order.

We arrived late and still got a beautiful welcome. The security staff and receptionist were great. I've stayed in guest lodges in Byo, and this is the best. I'd recommend giving it a try when you're in Bulawayo.

This was my worst stay ever. The invoice was for 6 bedrooms, but I wasn't given them. They offered just one bedroom, so my friends had to sleep in the car. On top of that, there was no electricity or running water.
