Entabeni Lodge

The friendly woman on staff was a bright spot, but the owner seemed out of touch with guest service. Our rooms had no hot water when we arrived and were dusty, as if they hadn’t been looked after in quite a while. The grass thatch leaked when it rained, too. WiFi was promised, but it kept cutting out when we needed it. Staff said it had run out, and with the owner away on a trip they couldn’t sort it out. Her daughter was left in charge. When we explained what we needed, she acted as though we were asking her for a personal favour, even though we’d paid to stay there. She seemed more interested in having fun with the friends she’d brought to the lodge. Breakfast got worse each morning. On our last day, the owner asked how the stay had gone. I told her plainly what had happened, and she seemed surprised. After hearing all that, she even asked whether we’d come back. I wouldn’t stay here unless the service has improved.
