Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles

The poolside view over the sunshine city is amazing, especially at sunset, and the drinks are great too. I've been four times. They change the menus from night to night, with things like a Thursday BBQ buffet and Sunday brunch, and the food has been delicious. The decor and atmosphere make each meal feel special.

Chef Kader's Indian dishes were a highlight for me, with rich flavors, well balanced spices, and lovely presentation. You can tell he takes pride in his cooking and cares about his guests. He's professional, hardworking, and has a really positive attitude. I had a memorable meal at Meikles Hyatt Regency and would recommend dining here if you enjoy Indian food.

The hotel is exquisite and the waiters were attentive, with excellent service. But the buffet was a real disappointment, the food had hardly any flavor. I'd go for the pictures and atmosphere, not the food.

I had dinner at the Hyatt with my babies, and with no baby changing facilities, I ended up changing them in the lobby. It was embarrassing and inconvenient. Parents shouldn't be left to manage like that in a place offering premium service. For a hotel that is meant to be five star, I expected more comfort and basic consideration for families. This felt far below expectations, and they need to address it urgently.
