Mongi Guest House

The staff were helpful with my bags, but the rest of my stay had several serious problems. The room was tiny, with the door hitting the bed when opened, and it looked nothing like the photos. It was filthy, with stained sheets and stains and dead bugs smeared across the cracked walls. The bed was so uncomfortable that I got no sleep. Noise continued all night and into the early morning. The roads to the lodge were also very bumpy and full of potholes. There was a serious privacy breach, too. Someone arrived asking for me by name, and staff gave him my room number and sent him straight there without warning me. That was shocking and made me uncomfortable. Update: I never said there were bed bugs, but there were dead bugs smeared on the wall. No one ever offered me a bigger room. The photos are there for everyone to see. And NO, he came to my room alone! You didn’t have my permission to give out my personal details. He could have said anything, and you believed him without verifying it. If I was expecting him, why wouldn’t I give him the room number myself? Just ridiculous, lying to cover up your mistakes and issues.
