The staff were friendly and courteous, and the room itself was comfortable and nice. But there was a bad smell outside the room for my entire stay, and I don’t know what caused it. Only one shower towel was in the room when I arrived. I asked for another at about 7:00 pm, then followed up every hour until I went to sleep, but it never came. I called again the next morning and got two hand towels instead. They said shower towels would be ready in another 45-60 minutes, but I had to leave for a meeting and couldn’t wait. The breakfast buffet was acceptable, though most of the choices were beef or pork, which wasn’t really to my taste. I understand that might suit most guests.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds and lovely city views. Housekeeping kept everything tidy, and after a long day it was a relaxing place to return to. The central location was convenient for business or leisure, and the staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help. Check-in and check-out were efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the restaurant service was prompt and friendly. My stay at Hotel Monomotapa was very enjoyable and exceeded my expectations. It offers great value for money, and I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

I had an amazing time at my friend's dinner. Mr Roy Makore and the team gave us great service and looked after us nicely all evening. I’d definitely return for the dining experience. The rooms let the place down, though, since there’s no AC.

I was booked into this hotel courtesy of Zambia Airways after my flight from Lusaka to Nairobi was cancelled and I had to stay overnight in Lusaka. It’s an excellent place to stay, and an iconic Hotel in Lusaka. Thanks!

The service felt pretty average, and there didn’t seem to be many staff around. The place itself was good.
