Warthog’s gets 4.5 out of 5 from me. The lake view is beautiful, and we saw water bugs, zebras, and even hippos out of the water on our recent visit. The whole lakeside scene was peaceful. I go fairly often for a quick meal, and the food is consistently great, especially the burgers and steak. The waiters are friendly and always smiling, particularly Desire and another guy whose name I can’t remember. They make the place feel warm and welcoming, almost like home. My one gripe is having to pay for Wi-Fi. It’s inconvenient if you want to work or just stay connected while eating, and I think it should be free for customers dining in. Otherwise, the food, views, and people are all great. It’s one of my favorite spots.

Nice people, good food, and plenty of wildlife along the lake shore make this a great place. There are bats at night and the usual mosquitoes, so cover up and bring bug spray and you should be fine.

A lovely campsite with birds all around and a beautiful view of Kariba lake. The showers are warm in the morning and evening. Amazing.

We stayed as a couple in a chalet. It was nice, and very quiet and peaceful, though you’ll need plenty of mosquito repellent. The food and drinks were really good.
