The pool looks breathtaking, though I’d aim for a warm, dry day to enjoy it properly. There’s greenery everywhere and animals wandering freely, which makes the natural, calming look feel special. The views are spectacular, and the service and little details give it a comfortable, home-away-from-home feel. A lovely mix of luxury, outdoor surroundings, and time to relax. I have to come back.

The pool was incredible, and we all enjoyed the delicious food. We came as a big group and had the whole place to ourselves. The rooms were so distinctive that we ended up touring one another’s just to see all the different styles.

The granite pool is quite a sight, and the lodge has spectacular views from up among the boulders. The rooms are exceptional, with showers both inside and out. For a top-rated lodge, it felt like very good value. Best lodge in matopos, and I’d definitely visit again. It was also my first time seeing a real live ZONKEY!

David, our guide, deserves a special mention. He was such a star: warm, clever, and especially thoughtful. The rest of the team were great too and helped make our stay memorable.

We had a lovely time at the Homestead at Amalinda. The villa was beautiful, the staff were wonderful, and Kevin was a fantastic guide. I especially enjoyed the rhino safari, along with the pool and all the other experiences we got to take part in.
