The spa was amazing, and having The Boma just a short walk away on the same property was a real plus. The pool sits right beside the restaurant, though, so anyone who feels shy might prefer to skip it. My kids had no such hesitation and happily splashed around. Highly recommend.

Wildlife and scenery were a big part of the appeal, with plenty of trails and lovely views to explore nearby. lokuthula lodge also had a calm, natural setting that made for a welcome break from the city. Our room was clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable, and it had the things I needed. The staff were kind and made us feel welcome, and the local food was delicious with a good range of choices. I'd happily recommend it for a relaxing stay, and hope to come back.

We loved the drum night and our trip to Victoria falls, but the accommodation was very upsetting. We had three bungalows, and each had a problem: a bushbaby in one, mosquitoes and bed bugs in another, and a scorpion in the third. The bites got worse each day, so we complained and the rooms were sprayed every night. There were bloody sheets each morning from the bugs. My baby developed fevers, and I had to take her first to a clinic and then to hospital. At the hospital in Cape Town, we were told the bites were from a combination of mosquitoes and bed bugs. We contacted the travel agency Travel Associates Carrington and James, then Adventure World Travel, asking for a refund for the activities we missed. That refund came through, but two months later we were still waiting for the accommodation refund.

Being surrounded by nature was such an incredible part of the stay, and the rooms were exceptionally comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything, too. Lokuthula Lodge is close to all the things you want to do in Vic Falls. I had an amazing time and will recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere great to stay. I'll be back!

The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and the property has potential. The houses look older than they do in the photos and feel quite dark inside. Only one room had air conditioning. The other got uncomfortably hot, with hardly any airflow. Even with mosquito nets, we were bitten quite badly during the night.
