Sabina Hotel

We stayed in the family room with a kitchen, and having a balcony for each room was very convenient. The Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked well, the water was always hot, and there was a microwave and ironing board on the floor. The TV situation was uneven, one room had all the channels while the smaller room had only one, but we weren't there to watch television. The market is just 20 steps away, while the sea takes about ten minutes. Despite being so close, the market wasn't bothersome. There's a service center downstairs, and they made us a second key for 200 rubles because there were four of us and only one key was provided for the room. We're staying in the same room on the same dates this year. Early September is ideal, with warm sea water and less heat.

We left after the first night because the room was unbearably cold and the conditions were poor. There was a construction site directly below the balcony, so using the heater seemed impossible because it took all the oxygen, while opening the window let construction dust blow inside. They hadn't provided a blanket. After we asked, they brought two thin, mismatched blankets, but they didn't keep us warm. The bathroom was so tiny that turning around was difficult, and the towels and sheets had obvious greasy stains. We requested a refund for the remaining three nights, but the owner returned the money for only two. Very disappointing. I don't recommend this place!!

We chose the Sabina Hotel for a September 2022 trip with our 1-year-8-month-old child after struggling to find accommodation that met our needs. Madina, the polite receptionist, explained everything carefully by phone, and check-in was quick. The room with a kitchen was enormous, had a gorgeous balcony, and was spotless, with snow-white towels and clean dishes. Exactly what we wanted. The location is SUPER. The market is about two minutes away, as are a pharmacy and shops, while the sea is roughly five minutes away across the grounds of the large hotel opposite. The dining room "At the Grandmothers'" is right downstairs, with a wide menu including porridge, pancakes, syrniki, soups, and meat, so meals were easy. The embankment takes 7-10 minutes along a busy street with lanterns, and it felt possible to walk there alone. The bus stop is five minutes away, with minibuses to Pitsunda, New Athos, and Sukhum. We had originally considered staying in Pitsunda or Sukhum in September 2023, but after seeing the photos and offer, we decided we wanted our comfortable "SABINA" again. Sabina, Madina, and the grandmothers are waiting for us, and we're coming back. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Abkhazia. Have a great holiday! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Everything was within walking distance, and the place felt clean and cozy. We stayed in June 2024 and really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly.
