Hotel Pere D'Urg 3000

Our balcony room was a lovely base for four nights, with the river running alongside the hotel and enough space for three friends travelling light. It was warm and came with a kettle, cups, and tea. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and there was even a pillow menu. The shower had strong, consistently hot water. Breakfast was a major highlight, so we're glad we added it to the booking, and reception was friendly and helpful. Guests can use the foosball and pool table by the bar. The free funibus is about three minutes away and goes straight to the funicamp gondola. Walking takes around 10-15 minutes through the old town, although the cobblestones downhill from the gondola aren't very comfortable in ski gear. The bus is regular and easy to find. Other parts of the grandvalaria area can be reached by bus, paid in cash and not covered by the ski pass, though taking the gondola up and skiing across is better. Andorra la Vella is easy to reach on two public bus lines, or you can use stop 202 for the Barcelona/Toulouse routes with Andbus. Buy those tickets online because the buses sell out. Great value, and I'd be excited to stay here again in Andorra/Encamp.

The rooms are quite spacious, clean, and nice, even though the inside feels a little like the XX Century. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it is a genuinely pleasant place to stay.

Sleeping was almost impossible because the sound carried through the many rooms, and the beds were far too hard. The furniture was very old, the doors opened too easily, and there were no locks. They provided towels but no soap or other hygiene items. The hotel itself is fine in some ways, but the rooms and service are far below what I expect from a 3 stars hotel. Reserve parking ahead of time. Overall, it does not live up to three stars at all. Very disappointed 😡

Breakfast was amazing, and the staff serving it were lovely. We eventually had no trouble sleeping and would happily stay here again when visiting Andorra. The only awkward part was arriving, since nobody answered the phone for a while and it took us some time to get inside.
