Hotel Montane

The restaurant team were especially kind to our children, and the homemade food was fresh, with the soups standing out in particular. We also liked having ski storage, which cost much less than leaving our equipment at the top of the slopes. Hotel Montané is directly opposite the gondola, so the location in Arinsal worked perfectly. The rooms are somewhat dated, but they were spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful stay.

The restaurant staff were fantastic, and the evening meals were excellent. Breakfast was continental but had plenty of choice, and the free Wi-Fi was fast. The gondola is only about five minutes away, while Cisco's bar is a short walk and may be the best in the resort. We booked through Crystal Ski and would definitely return.

The cable car is literally across the road, making this a convenient base for mountain walks and winter skiing. Breakfast costs extra but is worth it, with plenty of sweet and savoury choices, and the reception and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is an older building, so sounds from nearby rooms, including footsteps and chairs being moved, can carry. There isn't a socket near the bed either, though that didn't bother me personally. For the price, I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily choose it again when returning to Arinsal.

The gondola is just a 30-second walk away, and the hotel made coming back from the slopes feel especially welcoming, with hot mulled wine, cakes and a log burner waiting. Breakfast even included Buck’s Fizz. The rooms were warm, clean and had pleasant views, with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Food quality was high, the choices were broad, and the dinner menu changed every evening. Every member of staff was professional, cheerful and willing to go the extra mile with requests. After five ski trips to Andorra, this was the best accommodation we've had. Absolutely perfect.
