Hotel Coma

The clean room, comfortable bed, open balcony views, free outdoor parking, mini golf, and beautifully kept lawn were all positives. The blond woman at reception was friendly and efficient too. We hadn't expected so much noise during what was meant to be a peaceful mountain stay. There was a wedding on the first day, then the village party continued until 4:30 a.m. on the following days. We could hear neighbours and smell their cigarette smoke. The hotel also needs refurbishment: missing lobby lightbulbs, badly scratched panels and tub, a fridge that barely cooled, a broken bin pedal, and an untidy basement exit from the elevator. The small pool was too cold to use. Coma's has potential, but it needs more care and attention, and our three nights were noisier than expected.

For the price, this is a decent hotel. The rooms were clean and pleasant, although they could use some renovation. Our included dinner was perfectly acceptable for the rate, and there was a good-value selection of Spanish wines. Staff and waiters were very friendly. Every room has a balcony with a picturesque mountain view, and the lounge also has a nice bar and a billiard table.

The dinner was the real surprise here. We skipped the half-board option when booking, and after eating at the restaurant I wished we hadn't. The food was excellent and the dinner staff were amazing. Dinner starts late, around 9 pm, with few places open before then, and many locals appeared once service began, so the restaurant quickly filled up. Add the great staff and excellent location in Ordino, and this little gem is somewhere we'll definitely return to.

The mountain scenery was beautiful, and the hotel itself was very comfortable. We came as a classic car group of around 40 people, and everything went well. The service was efficient, breakfast was excellent, and we’d definitely recommend it.
