Ransol Mountain Suites

The apartment itself has potential and is generally good, but the service, amenities, and ongoing construction need to be improved. During our 2-week summer stay, building and apartment repairs happened throughout the territory every day. The noise could be loud and began at 8AM, which was frustrating because we needed more quiet. At first we were given an apartment with a direct construction view from the balcony. They eventually moved us because we were staying for 2 weeks, although that should have been done even for a shorter stay, check the picture, crazy. The bed was very stiff and made squaly noises because it was old. I couldn’t sleep for 3 nights. I was close to giving this 2 stars.

The balcony view was amazing, and the apartment had spacious rooms and a very well equipped kitchen. Checking in and out was quick and simple, although there’s nowhere to park by the reception. It’s a convenient base for Andorra, about a ten-minute drive from Canillo and roughly 20 from Andorra la Vieja. The main downside was the mattresses, which weren’t very comfortable.

The parking advertised turned out to be only half a parking space. My Seat Leon didn’t fit at all. We had requested a crib for our baby and reconfirmed it when collecting the key at reception, but it wasn’t there. When we called, we were treated very disrespectfully, the call was ended on us, and nobody answered again that day. The toaster was dirty and the oven was extremely greasy, dripping and producing a lot of smoke when switched on. We had to call again. They said cleaning it would be a priority, but someone only came at 6 PM and said she couldn’t leave it 100% okay because the grease had been there for a long time. When we called again, they said they could do anything. We eventually filed a formal complaint on Booking.

The apartment was okay, but supplies were very limited. For 4 people staying 4 days, they provided just one toilet paper roll, and there were only 4 toilets…
