Brand New Boys Hostel in center of Dubai

The worst hostel experience I’ve had. I booked 11 days through makemytrip, but when I arrived nobody knew about the booking or the room number. There was no one who seemed to run the hostel, and the booking had no contact number. If you see this, don’t book. Worst experience ever.

It wasn’t very clean, and people were rude, including the staff. There was a lot of intense snoring, and many people slept during the day, then wanted the lights on for half the night. Calls, noise, lights, all of it felt very disrespectful. One person slept until 1 am, then rushed in, switched on the full lights, and started talking and arguing with a group. They then had to get ready, and the lights stayed on until 2 am.

I’ve travelled to many countries, and this hostel was the worst of the worst. The toilet and kitchen were unclear, and cleaning happened only two days a week. They didn’t provide a security access card, so the bell rang 24/7. It’s a labour building with noisy bunk beds and unprofessional management. Those four days were hard. This isn’t a hostel, it’s a labour accommodation apartment.

The location is the big draw. The beds are comfortable, the shared bathrooms spotless, and there’s a communal kitchen. Being near Burjaman Metro makes it easy to get around Dubai. Highly recommended for the location alone.
