I appreciated Sita from Housekeeping, Franz, and one Indian night shift team leader guy from Reception. The rest of my experience was deeply disappointing, and the way manager "Dinushan" treated me ruined what should have been a relaxing stay. He was dismissive, raised his voice, and wouldn’t let me speak. Customer service felt like no priority, and I won’t return or recommend this hotel. It was traumatic. I’m a Qatar resident and this was my first visit to UAE. I stayed six nights, and the incident happened on night five, after my female friends and I returned from a city tour. I briefly brought them to my room to give them souvenirs from Qatar. A few minutes later reception called to say visitors weren’t allowed in the room and asked me to send them downstairs. I agreed and told my friends. While we were getting ready to leave, a man called and spoke rudely. I accept I should have sent them down immediately, but he said, “We will come to your room and call the authorities.” I felt insulted and threatened. I wondered if giving friends souvenirs or having female visitors was being treated as a crime. I’d lived in a strict country for 10 years as a law-abiding resident with a clean background, so this was shocking. I had not been told about this “policy” at check-in, signed no agreement, and had no terms explained to me. I went to reception to speak with the manager and discovered the rude caller was the manager himself. He even said proudly, “I am the manager.” From his conduct, I don’t think he was effective in that role. I work in the same industry and hold the same position, so I was especially disappointed. A manager should listen, apologize, empathize, and find a solution. I would have accepted an explanation that my friends couldn’t stay under the policy, or an offer to charge extra per person per night. Instead, there was shouting, threats, and disrespect. During those six nights, I also put up with loud bar music that kept me from sleeping properly, people shouting in the hallways, and a musty room smell. I needed a scented candle to tolerate the odor. The cushion covers and kettle smelled as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I didn’t complain about those things; I politely asked housekeeping to make some changes, which staff can verify. I did ask to move near Room 328, where my cousin and her husband were staying, but was told, “No rooms are available.” They had come all the way from Abu Dhabi to stay at the same hotel with me. I tried to be understanding, but that wasn’t returned. If the hotel has had guests involved in illegal activity, that doesn’t mean every guest is doing the same. I regret staying somewhere with that kind of reputation. I expected basic professionalism as a paying guest, and what happened fell far short of it.

I’ve stayed here around 3 nights per week for the past 3 months, so I’m a regular, and people from security to reception know me. I’ve been honest and accommodating, and praised staff who do good work. Hana from front office was a superstar and made my stays comfortable and special. Dinesh, on the other hand, seemed to have only one answer to queries: “NO.” I’m glad Hanna is well trained and able to handle things. Bravo Hanna. My issue was with Dinushan, the guest relations manager, if I remember his name correctly, a slim/skinny Indian guy. I mention his appearance so management knows who I mean. My room wifi was down all day. After several visits, engineering confirmed internet service was down in some rooms. I was on a business trip and needed wifi for online meetings, so I asked this so-called duty manager to help. He said moving me wouldn’t fix it. I asked to be moved to a better room where things worked, explaining that I was a regular guest and needed wifi for work. He yelled in the middle of the lobby, accused me of taking advantage of the wifi problem, and used a shocking choice of words and attitude. I can’t understand how someone with that manner can work in hospitality. I raised the complaint with front office staff Neha and asked her to pass it to higher management, but nothing happened. That’s why I’m putting it here and will probably mention it in all my reviews. Dinushan’s behavior made an otherwise great stay one I don’t want to repeat.

Terrible. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in UAE. It’s a four star hotel, yet even guests staying one or two nights aren’t given car parking, which is inappropriate. The website didn’t mention that parking wasn’t provided. I only found out after asking reception. The reception girl ( Hana ) and ( Raja ) supervisor front desk didn’t greet guests or tell them about the hotel facilities. Security said there were 19 parking spaces reserved for the GM, not for hotel guests.
