Deebaj Al Khabisi Plaza Hotel Apartments

I booked here, but when I arrived with my luggage, security told me there was no such hotel or hostel at that location. The number for the property listed on booking.com was permanently switched off, and I was left out on the street with nowhere to go. They refused to refund me even though it was their fault. I believe Dubai government should check places like this, since it’s a safety matter for residents and visitors.

The place is untidy, and the service is terrible. The washrooms are a nightmare, and the kitchen area is never clean. I don’t recommend it at all.

The mall right in front of the hotel was really great 👍. Room 316 was spacious, with comfortable beds, pillows and sofas, and the toilet was very clean. There was free breakfast from 8am to 10am, with omelette, boiled egg, bread, coffee, jam, salad and sausage. It was alright. You have to call room service yourself, they don’t come by themselves. The ovens need replacing too, since they were very dirty and didn’t cook food properly. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The doors either don’t lock or have broken locks, which made it scary and risky to leave personal belongings like passports, jewellery or money. Staff are negligent and the place is very unhygienic. Service takes 1 to 2 hours on average, and housekeeping only comes to change the bedsheets when you request or remind them. The furniture and interior are very old and need refurbishment. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all unless it’s your last option and you need a furnished apartment at a cheap price. It’s a no for me 👎
