The location is in Dubai Marina, but the many rented supercars nearby make a lot of noise and could wake you up. The hostel advertised gym access, but guests aren't allowed to use it because the surrounding community doesn't permit hostel residents into the gym. Laundry isn't free either. They charge 25 aed, though they said it was part of the amenities. Most residents were Indian and generally kind and polite. Their food's strong smell often stayed on clothes and in shared spaces. After Egyptians, they were among the kindest people there. Don't expect warm communication from most Europeans, especially Germans. Some residents don't cooperate and do whatever they want. In my room, for example, one guy kept lowering the temperature, made everyone sick, and didn't care. There was no dedicated cleaner, and the manager seemed to have little interest in keeping the place clean. Pests were a problem, often appearing around shared food baskets. The fridge had no separate sections, so people put their food wherever, and food was often taken by others. Most of the staff were from France and Belgium. They were generally cold and unwelcoming, and seemed friendly only to guests who spoke their language. The manager would touch and move personal belongings without asking or giving notice, which was inappropriate and unacceptable. When you point out a problem, they just ignore it. But if they spot something of yours, the manager keeps sending you pictures of it.
