JA The Resort - JA Palm Tree Court Hotel

There’s a lot for families here: pools for kids and adults, a splash park, and activities for older kids like mini golf, billiards, and ping pong. The resort feels like a green escape from Dubai, with colorful peacocks wandering around. Mornings can get a little noisy, though. Our suite was very spacious, with a sofa bed and a big balcony. Buildings have only three levels, and there’s greenery, little waterfalls, flowing water, and lots of colorful fish around the grounds. La Fontana has international dishes and a lovely outdoor dining area. The staff are super friendly. I’d definitely recommend it for a family getaway.

My kids especially loved the water park, pools, and clean, nice beach. The room was very clean too, and housekeeping did a great job. Menchie at reception was so friendly and helped us with a smile. We felt at home. It was a wonderful family holiday, and we’ll be back very soon. I’ll recommend the resort to our family and friends.

We’ve stayed at JA Palm Tree Court twice now, and it remains one of our favorite family breaks in Dubai. There’s plenty for children to do, from the waterpark and horseback riding to other resort activities. The peacocks roaming freely around the grounds are a lovely, unusual touch. Katrina at the front desk took great care of us from check-in to checkout, and the staff are reliably friendly, professional, and helpful. I’d like to see more attention to hygiene in the restaurants and public spaces. Still, we had a very enjoyable stay, and it’s a great family option.

The service is the real strength here. The people working at the hotel were so welcoming and always offered help. Room service was excellent, and housekeeping was great too. The pools were plentiful and satisfying. Food was good quality from breakfast through dinner, with plenty of variety, and the half board plan lets you try several restaurants. It’s a nice hotel, though a bit expensive compared with others of the same standard in Dubai. I was disappointed that even water at lunch or dinner costs extra on half board. The kids’ second bed was actually an unfolded sofa and wasn’t comfortable. The private beach is nice to access, but the view is poor because of the construction opposite. The hotel is far from the center, roughly 30 minutes to over an hour depending on the traffic and time, though they do offer a shuttle. On our last day they refused to let us take the shuttle to the center with our luggage, which was convenient and seemed possible given the bus had capacity. I couldn’t see a real reason for refusing. The peacocks are lovely, but every night they came onto our balcony and yelled, sometimes in the middle of the night and often in the morning. On two days in a row, jet ski races in front of the hotel woke us up. The noise was very loud even with the windows closed and went on all morning. The distance from the center is a major weakness. It can still be nice for some quiet time when the peacocks and jet skis are away. The service is the big win, though it comes at a price.
