The room was beautiful, the food delicious, and the hotel itself is stunning. On arrival, we felt like royalty: the doors were opened, our luggage went straight to the room, and the staff were warm and attentive. Most of the staff were wonderful, and the atmosphere was breathtaking. It felt like a luxury stay, at least at first. The checkout left a bad impression. We hadn’t been told that the room snacks and drinks cost extra, and we were charged $106 USD. We thought they were included, and if we’d known, we would have spent that money differently. Then, after we checked out and were waiting for our Uber, the front desk called a staff member over the radio and asked my husband to come back inside. They said he’d taken a Corona from the fridge and that we’d be charged. He calmly said we don’t drink alcohol and he hasn’t had a drink in over 20 years. We’re Christians and wouldn’t risk our integrity or the embarrassment over a $22 beer. They made the accusation because their count showed one missing. There was no apology when he repeated that we don’t drink. We were just told someone had counted incorrectly. After spending over a thousand dollars at the venue and celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday in room 274, this was extremely disheartening. What should have been a lovely end to a special occasion left us embarrassed and disappointed. The way it was handled overshadowed an otherwise amazing stay and gave us a very unfortunate final impression.

The service was warm, professional, and attentive without getting in the way. The staff made us feel valued, and the food was refined, beautifully presented, and full of rich, authentic flavors. Breakfast, afternoon tea, or dinner all felt special. Palace Downtown has striking architecture and interiors, with breathtaking views of Burj Khalifa and the fountains. From arrival, the place is full of elegance, luxury, and timeless Arabian charm. It’s a magical spot in Dubai, balancing traditional heritage with modern luxury. A relaxing escape, a special occasion, or simply a way to enjoy the city at its finest, it feels like an experience more than just a hotel. Highly recommended, and I’ll always return.

Mohammed made our dining experience at Palace Hotel wonderful. He greeted us with a warm smile and positive attitude, and handled every request quickly and gracefully. His hospitality, professionalism, and eye for detail stood out, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It’s rare to meet someone whose kindness comes through so clearly in their service. Mohammed is a real asset to Palace Hotel and one of the reasons we’ll be back. Highly recommended! 👏✨

The staff are good, and I feel at home there. The valet parking staff are wonderful. I have so many memories of this hotel and adore it, but lately it feels old and uncomfortable. The lobby toilets are very old and very dirty, and the lobby furniture needs urgent attention because it isn’t clean, or perhaps needs replacing. There are mosquitoes throughout the hotel because the main gate has been left open since my first visit, over 18 years ago. They should add sliding glass doors behind the big wooden door to protect the hotel environment. I hope management takes new steps to address these problems and improve the place. Please consider renovating as soon as possible.

Annabelle was cheerful, always smiling, and genuinely welcoming at Palace Downtown. She was attentive and helpful throughout our visit without intruding, and made sure we were well looked after.
