The breakfast was reasonable, and the staff seemed willing to help. But you have to keep asking for basics, whether it’s replacing water bottles, keeping things hygienic, or getting a towel for each occupant. This hotel cum serviced apartments would be better avoided unless you don’t have a choice.

Our holiday was spoiled by a very shabby room, and I suspect all the rooms are shabby. The manager was very arrogant and uncooperative, and I wouldn’t ask or consult him about activities because he has heavy commissions. This is an overpriced hotel and the service apartments are no use. Better to choose a good hotel.

The bathroom tiles were mostly broken, and a bad smell hung around the room all the time. Their answer was to spray it. We were on the top, 7th floor, and heard the pool and spa motors the whole time. Every day, a mosque on the same street woke us at 5:00 a.m. with loudspeaker prayers that went on for 30 minutes. We spent two nights in this very dirty, messy place, and it was a nightmare.
